About Dr. Mohan Raut

Dr. Mohan Raut, MD, DGO, FCRI (ASRI), received his graduation & post-graduation from the premier institute Seth G.S Medical College & KEM. Hospital, Mumbai. He has been in private practice in Obstetrics & Gynaecology for the past 35 years, with special interest in the field of Reproductive Immunology, especially related to Repeated pregnancy loss, recurrent implantation failure and unexplained infertility.

In 1992, Dr. Mohan Raut was a part of the International Multicentric Research Programme in association with Oxford University on the role of Lymphocyte Immunization Therapy (LIT) in Recurrent Miscarriages. Later, he was involved in the LIT programme in Mumbai under the guidance of Dr. Usha Krishna. He has started India’s first reproductive immunology centre, Dr. Raut’s Centre for Reproductive Immunology (previously known as ICPRM) with Dr. Mugdha Raut and use a patented process for LIT procedure, branded as ImmuLIT.

The American Society of Reproductive Immunology has awarded him Fellowship in Clinical Reproductive Immunology (FCRI) for his work in the field of clinical reproductive immunology.

He is the Guest co-editor of American Journal of Reproductive Immunology (AJRI) and a member of the Editorial board of Journal of Evidence Based Women’s Health Journal (EBWHJ), Egypt

He has authored the book – “Lymphocyte Immunization Therapy (LIT) in Reproductive Failures – New Horizons” published by Springer Nature, with Dr. Mugdha Raut.

He has contributed a chapter on Immunotherapy in Repeated Miscarriages in the book “Pregnancy At Risk - Current Concepts” published by FOGSI.

He has published papers and has spoken in National and International conferences on the topic of Immunomodulation in Repeated Miscarriages & Recurrent Implantation Failures.

He has been honoured with many awards for his work in the field of reproductive immunology

He is the managing trustee of Dr. Raut’s Immunotherapy Foundation (a registered charitable trust) and arranges programmes to create awareness about reproductive immunology and provide affordable medical care.

Clinical Experience

In 1992, Dr. Mohan Raut was a part of International Multicentric Research Program in association with Oxford University on the role of Active Immunotherapy in Recurrent Miscarriages. Later, he had been involved in the Active Immunotherapy programme (LIT therapy) at H.N. Hospital, Mumbai under the guidance of Dr. Usha Krishna. He has contributed a chapter on Immunotherapy in Repeated Miscarriages in the book “Pregnancy At Risk : Current Concepts” published by FOGSI. He has published papers and spoken in International Conferences on the topic of Immunotherapy in Repeated Miscarriages. He has presented posters in Annual Conference of European Society of Reproductive Immunology ESRI, at Budapest (2014) & Oxford (2015)

His grave concern for women infertility led him and his wife Dr. Mugdha Raut to lay the foundation of Dr. Raut’s Women’s Hospital , which was the first to introduce India’s first ever gynecological counseling center.

Dr. Mohan Raut today has prioritized Women wellness and health of motherhood through the launch of Dr. Raut's Centre for Reproductive Immunology –Immunotherapy Centre for Prevention and Repeated Miscarriages. Dr. Raut's Centre for Reproductive Immunology is dedicated in diagnosing, treating and providing women suffering from repeated miscarriages and recurrent IVF failures, a chance of having a successful pregnancy outcome through Immunotherapy.
